A Dream Bathroom

Isn't this a great bathroom?  I love the marble, soft candlelight, white roses, white orchids and thick white bath towels.  I so want to soak in that tub.  However, in order to do this I would have to visit California.  The Garden Court Hotel in Palo Alto to be exact.  Yes you too can luxuriate in this bathroom designed by Spanish interior designer, Pablo Paniagua.
You should see the rest of the hotel.  For additional images and a great write-up on the hotel and it's designer - check out La Dolce Vita.  It's worth a visit.

Profile: Michael Angus of Angus & Company

I could spend hours in his store...
I love the cozy cocoon feeling that this room emotes.  Even though it's all in white, I picture a fire in the fireplace, a glass of wine, a good book, snuggling up on the soft white sofa, soft lighting reflecting off the mirrors.  I could go on and on.

“The concept of the shop that opened its doors in the Spring of 2000 was to provide the public and interior designers a store that contained all the props for interior design. Toronto, being a rapidly expanding city, held the need for more high end shops that were capable of catering to an ever more sophisticated clientele. “

These images are from his home that he has above the store.
House & Home also did a video segment of the apartment so if you want a more intimate look, follow the link below.

On Vacation - One & Only Ocean Club in the Bahamas

If it's good enough for James Bond then I think I can handle it...
One & Only Ocean Club, Bahamas

I'm taking a week off to relax and catch up with my life so I'll see you next week.

All photos One & Only Resorts
The movie Casino Royale was partially filmed at this resort.

  Casino Royale - 2006
This is the 21st film in the James Bond film series and the first to star Daniel Craig as MI6 agent James Bond. Casino Royale is set at the beginning of Bond's career as Agent 007, just as he is earning his license to kill. After preventing a terrorist attack at Miami International Airport, Bond falls for Vesper Lynd, the treasury agent assigned to provide the money he needs to bankrupt terrorist financier Le Chiffre by beating him in a high-stakes poker game. The story arc continues in the following Bond film, Quantum of Solace (2008).

Excerpted from Wikipedia

What Time is It? #9 - Time for the next James Bond

I was watching Quantum of Solace the other day and was inspired.  The Omega Seasmaster was worn by Daniel Craig as James Bond with a black face which is different from the traditional blue face.  Maybe it was a way of emphasizing the darker side of him now.

There is supposed to be another James Bond film in production soon now that MGM has been bailed out, but other than discussions to schedule some filming in India there really hasn't been much going on so I'll believe it when it's officially announced. *

*Footnote:  The new James Bond film is scheduled for release in theatres November 9, 2012.

Lessons on Tying a Hermes Scarf

Some people just know how to wear a scarf and it looks so natural and elegant.  And then there's me.  It never looks right no matter what I do.  So instructions come in handy.

Apparently you can download instructions from their site, but I was unable to find it when I looked.  If anyone has the link please let me know.

Thanks.

Brookfield

For some reason I could see Sean Connery living in these rooms.  It's the new Brookfield Collection from Ralph Lauren, but it reminds me of the Scottish castle that Sean Connery's character in Entrapment lived in.  So fire up the helicopter I'm on my way.

An american caper film directed by Jon Amiel and starring Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Sean Connery & Catherine Zeta-Jones in Entrapment
The most famous shot in the entire movie.  I swear every man in the audience sighed at the same time.
