Inspiration - My Future Poolhouse

Actually it’s Ralph Lauren’s naturally, but this is what I like about him...
Today is a holiday here in Canada and we're all enjoying the great weather and much needed time off.  I feel doubly blessed today because our cat came back.  We found her in the garage and no one is more relieved than me.  She's a real suck right now and so it's nice to be able to be home and rebond with her.

My Backyard has Gone to the Dogs

I'm eyeing my backyard and starting to make plans.  It needs a lot of work and is so depressing that only the dog spends much time out there, so this spring this is going to be a major project.  I'm looking for inspiration in order to motivate myself for it and these are the first ones to make the cut.

Profile: Caroline Reed Interior Design - Bathroom Inspiration

I love this bathroom because I'm in love with the colour. I'm thinking that this would be great for my bathroom so I'm adding this to my inspiration file.  So soothing.  Once again, Caroline Reed of Caroline Reed Interior Design speaks to me.

Construction Ideas

I'm back from holidays and seriously considering a complete revanp of my downstairs basement.  So naturally I'm looking for inspiration.  Here's the image I chose for the downstairs bathroom.

Nice built-in shower and this gorgeous vanity - I just need to find a couple of really nice dressers that I could convert,

Designer Inspiration - My Laundry Room

Or at least the one I intend to use when I’m ready to redo my laundry room...
I'm catching up on laundry this holiday and I'm finding my laundry room in my unfinished basement truly depressing.  I don't spend much time here so I've never really gave it much attention, but the laundry has piled up so high that I have no choice.  So to keep me going I'm spending my time in between loads looking for inspiration.  Here is my favourite so far.

Lofty Kitchen

If I lived in a loft ... this would be my kitchen.

If anyone knows where this image is from, please let me know.  I had no idea that I had so many images that I simply can’t remember where I got them from.
Thanks.

Guilty - Modern Racer

I really love this look and so does my son who feels that this should be his bachelor pad...
You know how it is.  You start something just for yourself and somehow the kids seem to think it's theirs.  My son desperately wanted me to post this as inspiration for his bachelor pad.  The images are from Heather Clawson of Habitually Chic and I'm wracked with guilt about using these images since I couldn't reach her for permission first, but mother's do these things.  So Heather if you stumble across these my apologies but well I couldn't resist since we're both such Ralph Lauren fans and I happen to like this myself.  However i'm thinking this should be titled "Pie in the Sky" because I think my son is dreaming a little big.  He's taking after his mother I'm afraid.

A Dream Bathroom

Isn't this a great bathroom?  I love the marble, soft candlelight, white roses, white orchids and thick white bath towels.  I so want to soak in that tub.  However, in order to do this I would have to visit California.  The Garden Court Hotel in Palo Alto to be exact.  Yes you too can luxuriate in this bathroom designed by Spanish interior designer, Pablo Paniagua.
You should see the rest of the hotel.  For additional images and a great write-up on the hotel and it's designer - check out La Dolce Vita.  It's worth a visit.

Inspiration - For My Dining Room

Ok so it's not my dining room, but it's really close to it.  I even painted my walls this colour.  However, I'm short a few key items to make this my dining room.  Such as the furniture and chandelier, french doors, area rug.  Still their all on my wish list.

This room was designed by Wendy Williams Watt for her boyfriend former hockey player Kirk McLean in Vancouver.  The entire house was beautiful, but I only seem to have this picture left since I've been holding onto it forever as inspiration.  I actually loved the entire house and the views were magnificent, but I can't find the images. If anyone has them I'd love to do a followup post for this house.

Thanks

Miscellaneous

Time for some inspiration…
Every once in a while I'm going to upload a number of unrelated images to clear off some space on my system and just enjoy some imagery without commentary.

Inspiration – For My New Bathroom

I’m thinking we need some bathroom upgrades…
This is the bathroom of Designer Philip Mitchell.  I loved his entire apartment, but can’t find the images I had of it.
