Caroline Reed - Update

Caroline Reed has kind of dropped off the map lately, but she has moved to the East Coast and given the wicked winter we've had - even more difficult in the Eastern Provinces it's no wonder.  She's also in the process of working on her new home there.  So I thought I would post a couple of quick updates from her site to reminder everyone she's still out there.

A little TLC

Tonight I need a little TLC - a hot bath sounds wonderful so I'm looking at some inspiration to get me started.

Bathroom Upgrades

We've been considering this for a long time.  Update the bathroom.  It hasn't been touched since we've moved in so I'm on the look out for inspiration.  I love this idea and have considered using this idea when the time comes.  A sort of virtual designer.  Look at the results.

The Wall

This weekend's project will be the tall wall at the top of the stair case landing.  I've been eyeing this image from Caroline Reed Designs for quite some time and I think I'm ready to start going through the images and finding the ones I would like to frame and put up on the wall.  She gives you great instruction on how to plan this out so I'm not going to do this blind but instead with a road map.

I love this place.  She took on a project where all of the main work had already been done so she had to work with what was there - her focus was strictly furniture and accessories for this one.  What an amazing job.

Profile: Caroline Reed Interior Design - Rosedale House

I've been meaning to showcase this designer for quite awhile now but couldn't manage to reach her.  She's so busy.  She's also a local Canadian and one of my all time favourites.  So I'm going to showcase some of my favourite work from her blog periodically to give you a glimpse at how talented this woman really is.

This home is an elegant example that is one of my all time favourites - I must warn you I have a lot of them when it comes to her work.  I have no doubt she will be world famous one of these days with lines of furniture and linens just like the other high profile designers.

If you're looking for a great Canadian Designer - I would recommend this woman.  She has great taste, style professionalism and a sense of humour - which I think is very important. 

Gift Wrapping

OK - I've decided - this is what I'm going to do with my gift wrapping this year.  I'll need a glue gun, but I'm ready to give it a try because it sounds so simple.  Just a large roll of craft paper in black and natural and some pretty ribbon, pine boughs and Christmas balls.  What could be simpler.
