A few Favourites this week ...

A few items that caught my interest.

The Enchanted Home - this is just stunning handpainted wall paper - and I'm not a wallpaper fan but this I could live with.

Love this light fixture

Love the black candle holders with tea lights

Fell in love with this painting (at least I think it's a painting - unfortunately I couldn't find the  photographer, painter whichever it is). I have just the wall for this so if anyone knows please contact me.

Favourites Spotted Around the Internet this Week

Lots to see this week around the internet and it was hard to single it down to my favourites.

Seriously - if you haven't check out this site, you must.  It's my all time favourite house.  I just love everything in it and would happily move in as is.

So beautiful.

Loving this kitchen reno.  Also, congratulations as they're currently expecting again.

My favourite adventurers - this time in South America.

Time for new bedding and this look from Ralph Lauren is currently the look I'm going for.

Speaking of Ralph Lauren, I fell in love with this black and white dress.  Very chic.

Another pair of Jimmy Choo's to add to my wish list.

Oh how I wish I had this kind of talent.

Clean and Simple are my new words

Love these rooms from Greige Design .  I suddenly feel claustrophobic in my little house.  I really need to de-clutter.

Miscellaneous Inspiration

With this flu getting me down, I decided it was time for some inspiration.

Jane Fonda - seriously no matter what you may think of her (and I've read her book which I found a fascinating read - truly inspirational)... this woman looks incredible for her age.  Sure photoshop helps but the core beauty is sill there and that is hard to do - I speak from experience.

My plans for kitchen upgrades are now off the table - simply can't afford the new counter tops and cupboards I want at this time and I refuse to compromise until I can so I do without.

A little outdoor bling

I'm so ready for winter to be over with already.

You can just feel the glamour in this room.

Perhaps somewhere in Paris.

Inspiration for my perfume - I think it's time for another new scent.  Some of mine have been around too long.

Love this idea for organizing my bathroom. So pretty.

Reminds me of ... The Devil Wears Prada

This kitchen reminds me of the kitchen from The Devil Wears Prada.  .A fashion film if ever there was one.  I've seen interior shots of this house and must admit as beautiful as parts of it are.  It's just too bright blue for my taste.

This isn't the actual town house - it just reminds me of it.

2006, The Devil Wears Prada
A naive young woman comes to New York and scores a job as the assistant to one of the city's biggest magazine editors, the ruthless and cynical Miranda Priestly.

Meryl Streep as Amanda Priestley in The Devil Wears Prada

The actual townhouse used wasn't even the original one booked for the film.  A last minute substitution followed and I must admit the house is incredible.  Located at 129 East 73rd Street and Lexington Avenue, Manhattan the townhouse has an interesting history being in 1906 for the newly wed Charles Guggenheim and his wife Minnie.
