White

Touches of white are so refreshing to see now.  I think some white roses would be nice this time.

Shades of Grey and Silver

Thank goodness January is over.  I don't believe we're done with this brutal winter but at least it's one month down.  Between frozen pipes, a wonky furnace, a car that wouldn't start, taxi fares, and then the flu, I'm done in.  Then the Super Bowl fiasco yesterday and well grey suited my mood today.   I'm onto one of my busier times of the year so I'm going to load up on visual inspiration for the next little while just to keep myself putting one foot in front of the other as I trudge through this knee deep snow this winter.

A Little Luxury

I'm trying to sort out a better budget this year so I'm doing my best to reign myself in, sort through what I have and see what I really need and want.  I've ignored this for the last few years and now I'm beginning to feel the results of it.  So luxury items are currently off the list.  I need a fix somewhere so for the next little while this will be my way of indulging.  Skies the limit when you do it this way.  I highly recommend it for getting it out of your system.

The downside of Aging

I love this watch, but couldn't read the time without reading glasses.  Lovely for someone young like this young woman but not practical for someone my age.  I think I'm having a mid-life crisis.

What Time is it? #12 - Gift with Purchase

I grew up on the water so all things nautical have a warm place in my heart particularly at this time of the year.  Throw in a gift with purchase as beautiful as this and I seriously can't resist.  Well until I check out the price tag.

Since 2009, Swiss watch Manufacturer Frédérique Constant celebrates the legendary Runabout yachts of the roaring 20s by offering an attractive series of limited edition timepieces named “Runabout”.  Traditionally, each Runabout timepiece comes with its own luxurious, handmade wooden case that echoes the passionate craftsmanship of the yachts.
Alongside the watch, a miniature reproduction of a classic Runabout boat can be found inside the unique gift box.

What Time is It? #11

I love this watch from Ralph Lauren.  Diamonds, black alligator print watch band.  Classic, simple, elegant and diamonds..  Everything I love.

I'll take it in this simple gold and brown alligator print watch band as well.

While I'm at it, I could go for some of these gold link chain bracelets to wear with my black turtleneck collection.

How Does She Do It - Cindy Crawford

Some people just never seem to age...
These Omega ads are so tasteful and elegant.  How does she do it?  OK supermodel good looks help... genetics, healthy diet, exercise a priority, time to focus on yourself, help with the everyday items that drag mortals down, plenty of money, exposure to the best, knowledge of what suits you from plenty of trial and errors (aka - photoshoots).
Never mind I just answered my own question.  Still some people just don't seem to age.  She's still as beautiful as she was when she first came on the scene.

What Time is It? #9 - Time for the next James Bond

I was watching Quantum of Solace the other day and was inspired.  The Omega Seasmaster was worn by Daniel Craig as James Bond with a black face which is different from the traditional blue face.  Maybe it was a way of emphasizing the darker side of him now.

There is supposed to be another James Bond film in production soon now that MGM has been bailed out, but other than discussions to schedule some filming in India there really hasn't been much going on so I'll believe it when it's officially announced. *

*Footnote:  The new James Bond film is scheduled for release in theatres November 9, 2012.

What Time is It? #8

If  you're into diving these watches are elegant, timely and classic.  It's been styled in an updated version of a 1959 deep sea divers watch.  It even includes an alarm.  Although I'm not really sure how that would work under water.  There are two different models - one for the European market and one for the American market.  Not sure which one is which, but I'm liking the top one myself.  If it's good enough for Jacques Cousteau then I'm thinking it will work for me as well.  Maybe I'll go diving with Charlene and Albert off the coast of Monaco.

What Time is It? #7

Baume & Mercier has released some new watch designs that fit with their Hamptons campaign.  I love this look so much and couldn't wait to showcase it since it's Labour Day and I started the summer with this blog and now we're on the last day of summer.  How did that happen - the summer went by so fast this year.  In the blink of an eye.

Hope you're having a great Labour Day
