An Interesting Side Note

While looking for an image to use for the Clinique post earlier.  I discovered a great photographer and that led to other great photographers.  Doesn't this look delicious?

Richard is a talented photographer who has done a lot of product shots for Clinique along with others.  He is represented by Cornelia Adams, which is an agency that represents great photographers whose work appears as editorials in magazines.  I've seen a number of these images over the years but never really gave much thought to the photographer behind it until I began showcasing so much of it on my blog.  After viewing this site, I have a new appreciation for the skill level of really talented photographers.

There are so many great photographers out there and I felt that I should pay a tribute to those who put so much work into making products look great.  Models too for that matter.  Your efforts bring beauty and style into the homes of many and I for one appreciate it.

For those amateur photographers - keep up the good work.  I've seen some amazing images from people that only shoot a camera when they're struck with something that they want to capture.  These moments make a life time and inspire others.  So thank you for allowing me to inspire and find serenity in your images.

How Does She Do It - Cindy Crawford

Some people just never seem to age...
These Omega ads are so tasteful and elegant.  How does she do it?  OK supermodel good looks help... genetics, healthy diet, exercise a priority, time to focus on yourself, help with the everyday items that drag mortals down, plenty of money, exposure to the best, knowledge of what suits you from plenty of trial and errors (aka - photoshoots).
Never mind I just answered my own question.  Still some people just don't seem to age.  She's still as beautiful as she was when she first came on the scene.

Profile - Elaine Irwin

Elaine was one of the many supermodels that modeled for Calvin Klein.  These images were some of my favourites.  Classic, Elegant, Serene and Sophisticated.  We need more of this today.

These was before the Mellencamp got added onto her last name, so they are dated, but the Almay cosmetic ads are newer and she’s still as lovely as ever.  I believe these are her two sons in the ad.  Growing older gracefully was always one of my goals and she seems to have figured it out beautifully.  Of course, I guess it helps being a supermodel.

Profile – Valentina Zeliaeva

I wish I was more photogenic…
Russian born Valentina is the current spokes model/muse for Ralph Lauren and never seems to take a bad picture.  She has a certain Grace Kelly look about her and she knows how to perform in front of the camera. I’ve rarely seen any scandalous articles or prima donna incidents in the news.  From all accounts she appears to be a hardworking, conscientious model who knows she’s fortunate to do what she does and look the way she does and she’s making the most of it.  A good choice in my opinion for the Ralph Lauren line.
She looks great in almost everything Ralph puts on her.
