Shades of Grey and Silver

Thank goodness January is over.  I don't believe we're done with this brutal winter but at least it's one month down.  Between frozen pipes, a wonky furnace, a car that wouldn't start, taxi fares, and then the flu, I'm done in.  Then the Super Bowl fiasco yesterday and well grey suited my mood today.   I'm onto one of my busier times of the year so I'm going to load up on visual inspiration for the next little while just to keep myself putting one foot in front of the other as I trudge through this knee deep snow this winter.

Grooming for the Holidays

This week is Christmas Party week for me.  Lunches, Cocktail parties, and some serious Christmas shopping and decorating.  I need to spend this weekend just getting ready.

 

 

 

Calvin Klein in Miami

I'm an on again off again fan of Calvin Klein.  I do love his minimalistic cut when he goes with classics, and there is a serenity about the lack of clutter, but sometimes it's just too plain (and I will admit Ralph Lauren can sometimes go overboard and be too cluttered).  I'm talking room design here.  But given the hot weather we're suddenly experiencing this long weekend, I would love to be at his place in Miami.  It looks so inviting right now.

Elaine was one of the many supermodels that modeled for Calvin Klein.  These images were some of my favourites.  Classic, Elegant, Serene and Sophisticated.  We need more of this today.

These was before the Mellencamp got added onto her last name, so they are dated, but the Almay cosmetic ads are newer and she’s still as lovely as ever.  I believe these are her two sons in the ad.  Growing older gracefully was always one of my goals and she seems to have figured it out beautifully.  Of course, I guess it helps being a supermodel.

Wardrobe Updates - A Black One Piece Swimsuit

I love this one piece swimsuit...

I’m pretty sure that this one is wishful thinking on my part.  I definitely would need to start going to the gym more often if I want to be able to wear this bathing suit. 

Still it would be worth it if I could wear one of these.

Maybe next summer.

I'm not usually a big fan of Calvin Klein advertising lately...



However, I do like the looks from his Spring 2011 advertising. Not overtly sexual I suppose.  More tastefully done.  I'm always of fan of clean lines and a well tailored look and I really like this line.  I love tan and white for summer.

I’ve been showing a lot of Ralph Lauren on this site and thought I should mix it up once in awhile.  This robe is from Calvin Klein.  I actually have a similar robe I love that I picked up on vacation at the Banff Springs Hotel.  There’s nothing like this after a bath – you just feel so snugly.
