Hmmm.  Not as many as I would like to have seen, but still some pretty gowns on the red carpet.

 

Kaley Cuoco - simply stunning in red

 

 

Joanne Froggatt of Downton Abbey -elegant in black

 

Maria Menounos - I loved this gown

 

Reese Witherspoon - Wow in white

 

Sophia Bush - I hate burnt orange on me, but on her it looks quite bold.

 

Camilla Alves - Deep jewel tones seemed to around everywhere.  Camilla looked much better than her other half who chose a hideous blue blazer that did nothing for him.

 

Clair Danes - I do like this green dress but the belt needed to be cropped on her left - it sticks out too far.

 

Golden Globe Award style

There were quite a few hits at the awards ceremony last night.

 

Amal - Elegant and I love the white gloves

 

Amy Adams - such a pretty colour on her.

 

Catherine Zeta-Jones - a standout in red

 

Cindy Crawford  - my favourite shade of blue

 

Diane Kruger - stunning as always

 

Emily Blunt - I've always loved this white Grecian style gowns. 

 

Jenna Dewan Tatum - baby chick yellow - very pretty on her.

 

Jessica Chastain - Stunning Versace and with her hair colour it's perfection.

 

Julia Louis-Dreyfus - Again elegant in white.

 

Kate Hudson - just one word - WOW

 

Katherine Heigl - This dress is so flattering - glad to see her making a comeback.

 

Katie Holmes - Clean and simple straight lines - very nice.

 

Leslie Mann - love this soft yellow on her.

 

Reese Witherspoon - another one word gown - WOW

 

Selma Hayek - Almost demure for her but so pretty.

 

Viola Davis - such a beautiful colour on her. 

 

There's many more of course, but these were my favourites from red carpet.  I missed the Globes themselves as I was incredibly tired by then and I am having a hard time getting myself up in the mornings after the holidays.

 

 

Anna Faris - She looks lovely in this very soft peach.

 

 

Kate Beckinsale - Always lovely, but I like this sequin and chiffon number.

 

 

Heidi Klum - knockout in this red number.

 

Just a couple more that I spotted...

 

 

A second look at this dress and I appreciated the great detail work that went into this gown.

 

She received a lot of criticism for this choice, but I actually really liked it. - Different.

 

 



Golden Moments

It's that time again.  Hollywood award season where actresses via for the best gowns, the best personal dressers, the best hairdressers, the best makeup artists, and drop tons of money on every beauty treatment known to man.  Not a bad way to start the New Year if you ask me. 

At any rate, for what it's worth, I'm going to showcase my favourites from the evening.  Sorry to say I didn't even watch the award ceremony so I can't comment on how good it was.  Football took precedence in my household this weekend.

Very Ginger from Gilligan's Island - I always wanted to be Ginger.

Maria Menounos

Love this colour of yellow on her.  Not sure what you'd call that colour.

Nicole Ritchie

She looks so sophiscated and grown up.  She's come a long way.

Sarah Michelle Gellar

Wild - her child picked this dress out.  It actually really looks good on her.

Stacey Kiebler

A stunning red gown and the ultimate accessory - George Clooney - every girl should have one.

Angelina Jolie

White satin and red lipstick - this woman could wear a paper bag and still look great.

Kate Beckinsale

Soft and pretty.

Salma Hayek

Different, glamourous - sexy - very Salma

Natalie Portman

A pretty rose coloured gown.

Reese Witherspoon

Wow - Knock em dead Red

Jessica Alba

Lovely in Lavender

Helen Mirren

A Queen in Navy - always stunning, sexy and classy.

Nicole Kidman

This dress caught me off guard.  At first I didn't like it, but then I saw how much it enhances her great figure and the beautiful bead work and details and now I love it.  Way to go Nicole.
