Golden Globe Award style

There were quite a few hits at the awards ceremony last night.

Amal - Elegant and I love the white gloves

Amy Adams - such a pretty colour on her.

Catherine Zeta-Jones - a standout in red

Cindy Crawford  - my favourite shade of blue

Diane Kruger - stunning as always

Emily Blunt - I've always loved this white Grecian style gowns.

Jenna Dewan Tatum - baby chick yellow - very pretty on her.

Jessica Chastain - Stunning Versace and with her hair colour it's perfection.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus - Again elegant in white.

Kate Hudson - just one word - WOW

Katherine Heigl - This dress is so flattering - glad to see her making a comeback.

Katie Holmes - Clean and simple straight lines - very nice.

Leslie Mann - love this soft yellow on her.

Reese Witherspoon - another one word gown - WOW

Selma Hayek - Almost demure for her but so pretty.

Viola Davis - such a beautiful colour on her.

There's many more of course, but these were my favourites from red carpet.  I missed the Globes themselves as I was incredibly tired by then and I am having a hard time getting myself up in the mornings after the holidays.

Anna Faris - She looks lovely in this very soft peach.

Kate Beckinsale - Always lovely, but I like this sequin and chiffon number.

Heidi Klum - knockout in this red number.

Just a couple more that I spotted...

A second look at this dress and I appreciated the great detail work that went into this gown.

She received a lot of criticism for this choice, but I actually really liked it. - Different.

Brookfield

For some reason I could see Sean Connery living in these rooms.  It's the new Brookfield Collection from Ralph Lauren, but it reminds me of the Scottish castle that Sean Connery's character in Entrapment lived in.  So fire up the helicopter I'm on my way.

An american caper film directed by Jon Amiel and starring Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

The most famous shot in the entire movie.  I swear every man in the audience sighed at the same time.

One Fifth Avenue

Ralph does it again...
I love this look.  Very 1920’s art deco.  I can see Catherine Zeta Jones’ character from Chicago living here.  Actually I could see myself living here.  So glamourous.

Chicago won six Academy Awards in 2003, including Best Picture. The film was the first musical to win Best Picture since Oliver! in 1969.
Chicago centers on Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart, two criminals-of-passion who find themselves awaiting their trials for murder in 1920s Chicago. Velma, a vaudevillian, and Roxie, a housewife with aspirations of having the same profession, fight for the fame that will keep them from the gallows. The film stars Renée Zellweger, Richard Gere, and Catherine Zeta-Jones also featuring Queen Latifah, John C. Reilly and Christine Baranski.

California Romantic

This look reminds me of the Zoro films...
I expect to see Catherine Zeta Jones and Antonio Bandaras walking into this room any minute now.

An American swashbuckler film based on the Zorro character created by Johnston McCulley. It was directed by Martin Campbell and stars Antonio Banderas, Anthony Hopkins, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Stuart Wilson. In the story, the original Zorro (Hopkins) escapes from prison to find his long-lost daughter (Zeta-Jones) and avenge the death of his wife against the corrupt governor (Wilson). He is aided by his successor (Banderas), who also pursues his own vendetta.

Rumour has it that Michael Douglas saw the film and fell in love with Catherine Zeta Jones right then and there.
