In Love with Black and White
I've always loved black and white for decorating and fashion. I wear too much of both I'm afraid but they go with everything. At any rate, I'm thinking that some dramatic black and white touches might class the place up a bit and give me a couple of neutral accents for the place that can be used year round.
I love this print. It reminds me of the famous dress from "Sabrina" worn by Audrey Hepburn. OK maybe not quite but close enough.
Directed by Billy Wilder, and adapted for the screen by Wilder, Samuel A. Taylor, and Ernest Lehman from Taylor's play Sabrina Fair (in the UK, the movie has the title Sabrina Fair). It stars Humphrey Bogart, Audrey Hepburn, and William Holden.
In 2002, Sabrina was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."

Breakfast at Tiffany's
The long weekend is over and I've got a case of the mean reds, so it's time for Tiffany's...
OK all better now - I'm almost done for the day.
The Tiffany’s “Some Style is Legendary” advertising campaign is an homage to the Audrey Hepburn movie “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”. I have this movie on video and watch it every once in a while. It’s fun and touching all at the same time.
Hepburn's portrayal of Holly Golightly as the naïve, eccentric woman is generally considered to be the actress' most memorable and identifiable role. She herself regarded it as one of her most challenging roles, since she was an introvert required to play an extrovert. Hepburn's performance of "Moon River" helped composer Henry Mancini and lyricist Johnny Mercer win an Oscar for Best Song.
The little black Givenchy dress worn by Hepburn in the beginning of the film is cited as one of the most iconic items of clothing in the history of the twentieth century and perhaps the most famous little black dress of all time.
