How Can Summer Be Over

One of the most beautiful summers here in years and I never got away once.  I spent most of it in a darkened room taking care of my dad (bright light bothers his eyes now, so no tan either).  I have watched more old movies and sporting events than I thought possible.  I desperately feel the need for a vacation and this vintage image from the Jamican Villa collection - Ralph Lauren - is just screaming my name.  But a virtual vacation it will have to be as I envision waves gently breaking on the sandy beach just outside those french doors.  Ah - feeling much better already.

Why Don't They Make Them Like This Anymore

If you ask me this could work today...

This bathing suit on Grace Kelly looks great and could easily be worn today.  This suit is sexy and would be great for those of us who don’t have a bikini body anymore.  NOTE TO BATHING SUIT DESIGNERS OUT THERE:  Time to revamp some of the oldies and make them look current.

Vacation Destination - Round Hill, Jamaica

Poor Ralph is going to think I forgot about him...

India Hicks paid a visit to Ralph Lauren’s Round Hill home in Jamaica.  This is the one once owned by Babe Paley and her husband so you know it’s got style.  However, in typical Ralph fashion, he’s made it even better.  I’m hoping for my invitation any time soon.
