I Don`t Have a Green Thumb

Im just not good at gardening for some reason. Lack of time I suppose.  However, an herb garden is something that I think I might be able to handle.  Maybe.

Grandma`s Precious Plant

My grandmother had an obsession about this flower.  As children we simply referred to this as her precious plant.  Grandchildren were firmly instructed not to mess with her precious plant.  It had sentimental value to her since she brought the plantings back from a trip to visit her long lost sister.  I was driving past her old house the other day and her precious plant is blooming beautifully so she can be proud.  Sadly the house itself is looking a little worst for wear but the flowers look beautiful.

Wardrobe update - Classic White Shorts

You can never go wrong with a great fitting pair of classic white shorts.  So once again this year I'm on the lookout for the perfect pair and quickly discovering that looking for white shorts this early with pasty white legs is not a good idea.  But since the nicer weather is upon us it`s definately time to start looking into self-tanners or something.  Anyone who has a great self-tanning product they would recommend let me know.  I`m talking glow in the dark white legs so keep that in mind.

Inspiration - My Future Poolhouse

Today is a holiday here in Canada and we're all enjoying the great weather and much needed time off.  I feel doubly blessed today because our cat came back.  We found her in the garage and no one is more relieved than me.  She's a real suck right now and so it's nice to be able to be home and rebond with her.

A Difficult Mothers Day for Me

It's been a difficult mothers day for me so far.  It's the first one without my mom and today we realized as soon as we woke up that our cat has gone missing.  It's her first time outside and she managed to sneek out while we were cleaning the garage yesterday.  We only realized when she didn't wake me up this morning to be fed that she was missing.  So after a futile morning looking for her we're now trying to come to terms with another loss. 

My computer issues kept me off long far longer than I was expecting.  The problem was bigger than expected and I've been forced to purchase a new one which I hadn't budgeted for.  It's taken me this long to get caught up with my life and find the time to purchase one. 

So although no matter how you look at it this is a sad day for me.  My best wishes go out to all other mother's out there.  Take today for yourself.  You deserve it.
