Trolling for Choo's

This is a playoff weekend for Football and definitely a priority in this household.  However, during commercials there is nothing that says I can't shop for shoes.  Spring is coming sooner or later.

I'm addicted to the Abel style pump as you can see below.

I figured it out.  If my son ever moves out and pays for his own groceries I could afford a couple of these babies.  Ah well, he's just reminded me that he has no plans to leave home until he's 30 (this only ever comes up when he's between girlfriends).  At any rate, I guess I've got a long wait. 

Clean and White

This year we've had nothing but rain until yesterday when it finally snowed.

Our beautiful golden retriever (now 15 years old) so wanted to run and play in the snow but it started to rain again right after I took these photos.

 

This got me thinking about how clean and fresh everything looks when white.  Since I'm feeling refreshed and renewed and in a nice zen like place right now for the first time in years, I decided today to focus on the soothing power of white and soft colours found around the internet this week.  It appears I'm not the only one.

My New Favourite Designer - Scott Yetman

As part of my New Years Resolutions (half of which I've already broken), I'm working on simplifying my life.  As such I won't be blogging as often as in the past.  Oh I know I've been remiss for quite awhile, but there just won't be time this year as I have very long to do list to work my way through as this year is all about purging and I've my determined to organize those pockets of resistance.   I'll try blogging about once a week so check in once in awhile.  I'll be around.  Now back to the reason for this post.

I had to post about my new favorite designer, Scott Yetman.  Well he's new to me but he's been around for a while and works out of Montreal.  House and Home Magazine recently featured his apartment.  Suddenly I'm craving good quality antiques and beautiful clean dentil mouldings, a clean black and white scheme through out and touches of whimsy.  See for yourself.
